Interesting that he is jumping ship before the DNC has a chance to screw him in the primary.

Yes it is.

I see two optimistic possibilities:

Trump/Kennedy double knockout ticket
The inevitable Trump landslide + Kennedy's popularity will ensure he siphons enough authentic votes from all sides for it to be mathematically impossible for the DS to cheat with any less public obviousness than 2020.
