I also recently watched a movie where this group were always under surveillance camera scrutiny, so they changed their behavior to be extremely compliant and docile so they wouldn't get in trouble. At the end of the movie they learned no one was ever watching the cameras. They lived their entire life differently because of it only to learn that no one was actually watching them
