The burden of proof is never on the defendant in our system, so the state needs to prove that Trump did what he is alleged to have done in the complaint. It’s civil. The constitution does apply but there are special protections in the bill of rights that only apply to criminal proceedings.

Is Trump supposed to prove he is innocent or is that "AG" supposed to prove what Trump is accused of?
Is this criminal or civil?
Does the Constitution have standing in civil cases?
What role and types of evidence are to be properly considered before judgment?
