Good memory retrieve, DrFatsides!
Very interesting indeed.
I've been following VK for a while, but am still puzzled by him. I don't know much about his backstory is why probably. Anybody got the skinny on VK? A little short course perhaps?
Not sure what he's asking here.
Is he going to buy a $600 receiver and stick it in the closet in case the Internet is down so he can pull it out and connect to Twitter without subscribing? That seems to be his question.
I think he is referring to a parallel world wide web tht operates completely separate from our existing one. If our normal WWW goes down, Starlink could use the subscriber dishes to make the new WWW available to everyone. What would be on that new internet? Information that the world needs to know. VK is postulating that Elon has already set up the servers for the new internet and he has a Twitter like format to share information with the world.
It seems outlandish but given that someone used 175 million IP addresses immediately after Trump left office...it's entirely plausible those addresses could be used to set up thousands of servers to share information with millions of people.
