Solid point made. Starlink just hit a milestone recently, the timing is almost impeccable. Firmly believe the backup is set.

Hundreds of millions of the home satellite dishes would have to be sent out to everyone for us to be able to use it.
I don’t honestly think they have that sort of stock… a couple hundred thousand units.. maybe?
Perhaps public spaces only, will have internet.
Starlink would download their signal to cable companies and they would send it through their system
That’s not possible from a networking standpoint
Based on what we know using tech we understand, yeah I agree. The fact that in a plug and play world it's highly possible no special boxes will be required. The push to 5g everything almost confirms a level of tech we're not privy to yet.

Up here in Canada-land, we had weird internet issues on Oct 3. Back to normal now but it was bad enough to affect the train system.

Network cell lite will help you know exactly what you are connecting to locally. Good thought though...
