Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, says he believes he's "best equipped" to unite his conference after Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., led seven other defectors in joining with House Democrats to oust Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., as House speaker.
"We got to bring them into the fold," Jordan, who has announced he's running to be the next Speaker, told Fox & Friends on Thursday about the eight Republicans who pushed McCarthy out.
Just a thought ,I bet no-one will run for speaker unless the VACATE RULE is squashed and if that's the case ,here we go again,How many votes does it take to get to the center of a true MAGA Patriot?
Good thought. The candidates' position on the motion to vacate rule might be a good litmus test. The ones that don't object to it show they aren't threatened by it. (The reason they aren't threatened might be another issue.) The ones that want to get rid of it reveal their potential for RINO alliances and more of the same McSpeakership.
Alternatively, if a MAGA candidate were to get the speakership, it would be a good way to make sure the RINOS couldn't remove him because you can guarantee that anyone doing what we would consider as a good job as speaker, would have pissed off ALL of the Demtards and ALL of the RINOS.
One thing I think of the vacate rule as is a loaded gun on a table, a very dangerous thing to hold and use. Anyone can pick it up and pull the trigger. In the right hands, it is a tool for justice to remove incompetent Speakers. In the wrong hands, it is a weapon of tyranny where Swampies can use to remove MAGA.
Right now, we cheer the rule on for removing McCarthy. I wonder if we will have the same opinion if the Swampies use it to remove anyone MAGA we send to the seat, be it Jordan, Gaetz, or Trump himself.
When you produce a weapon and left it laying around for anyone to use, you lose all rights to complain when you are attacked by it until you put the weapon away.
