The best scene is in Robocop 2, after he's dismantled and rebuilt to be all Politically Correct, and can't do his fucking job... And that little league baseball team knocks over that electronic store, and he's trying to lecture them... JUST LIKE A SOCIAL WORKER.. Hilarious, how life parodies these movies.
And that his potential solution might leave him useless, or kill him, and yet he doesn't hesitate to go grab some high voltage.
That was a cheesy sequel, back in the day. But, rewatching it, it was deeper than we gave it credit for.
You just didn't understand the deeper meaning of that part. He would have rather died than continue on like that, so it was reboot or die.
I've never seen RoboCop, but it's become clear that criminal cartels gut sections of a city from upright residents and legitimate businesses and police so they can have hubs they can control. It allows more efficient crime.it used to be considered turf, now it's a base of larger networks.

Dude...seriously, go watch it, and 2 (3 and beyond are total garbage). It's a classic, with dark humor, insightful parody, and great performances from great character actors.

My grandpa used to be a life long Republican up until his stroke after which he switched to voting Democrat. This really pissed me off so I refuse to visit him at his new resting place at the cemetery. I wonder if RoboCop has a similar change of heart after he died. Movie doesn't elaborate on it.
Don't hold grudges against those you love, or even those that are harder to love. Forgive him and move on. Easy to love those you love, really hard to love your enemies but we must.
