It's like declaring Nuclear war on Canada and bombing Toronto and Montreal.

Except that doesn't even cover it. It would be like bombing Philadelphia. And even that is still twice as far as Jerusalem is from the Gaza strip.

Israel is slightly bigger than New Jersey.
