There has been a shit ton of development in my area. I figure this has more to do with expanding Xfinity coverage than anything. I’m in the northwest quadrant of the Katy area. North of I-10 and west of the Grand Parkway.
Gotcha. We really are neighbors ;)
We had some issues due to fast growth recently as well. Schools are popping up all over the place. I've been here since 75 and this town is almost unrecognizable now. Back then, this time of year, we would start getting so many geese that the fields would look like dirty snow where your house is now. Literally thousands of them. These days it's rare to see any at all. It's still a great place to live though.
We've been in Katy since 2014. I've been in the Houston area almost my entire life.
I did see a group of geese for the first time this year. We used to have a lot more wildlife, but those days are gone since all of the fields surrounding us have been bought up and built on.
At least I have acreage and my neighbors have even more acreage to keep the development mostly out of sight from my house.
