FYI: I saw a kid killed once on a base where I was stationed. He had picked up a live round off one of the ranges, and was on his bike headed down the street to trade it to another kid when he dropped it, and it exploded. He wasn't bloodied either, just blackened down one side of his face. The concussion killed him. You don't always get blow apart with blood and guts. In fact one of the first things you learn is that if exposed to an explosion open your mouth so that the pressure wave pushes the air out of your lungs instead of ripping them apart.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Why would any sane individual put themselves into harms way just to take some pictures? Wait, their bosses told them to go and stand on the road and everything will be alright. Even if they had PRESS credentials on how was the Israeli military suppose to notice them from a mile or two away?
Why is the Israeli military even dropping bombs in Lebanon?
Probably because Hezbollah is attacking Israel, firing rockets from southern Lebanon.
Oh so they couldn't identify where the rockets were coming from, and decided a group of journalists would be just as good a target?
It turns out that standing in the middle of a war zone is a good way to get killed. Whodathunkit?
