I know you guys hate Hollywood and that’s fine, but a lot of innocent patriots who have nothing to do with their toxicity are struggling to pay bills or feed their families right now while you cheer on this strike. Nobody but the studios are winning anything but tax write-offs. You guys would be shocked at how based and conservative the Teamsters and IATSE workers tend to be. The below the line workers and background actors are totally insulated from the stuff we hear about and they are the real and only victims here. It’s not all evil. My healthcare was about to run out at the end of the month because of this strike but our provider extended it another 6 months.
Supporting this evil, knowing what they do, I dunno man, I wouldn't admit it. Make the pedos build their own movie sets for a while and find honest work.
It’s not support. It’s my job. I’m not ashamed of it, I’m proud of it. It’s the most honest job I’ve ever had and I wrote a 2,000 page book that I constantly give away for free so anybody on earth can easily get started. Come on down and I’ll show you it’s not all bad.
Rook, we’re not going to change this industry or our country unless we get involved and do something about it. Q wants us to change the country for the better even if it’s difficult. Before I retire my plan is to employ more Q friends. I’m doing my part.
It’s easy to be afraid of what you don’t understand. Like I said, it’s not all evil. This is honest work. If you had our healthcare you’d have a totally different opinion. There are Q supporting, Trump supporting people who work for Hollywood and you need to accept it.
Is it likely that the movie industry cease to exist completely? No.
Do we want only bad people to decide what our children watch so they indoctrinate them? No.
There must be a lot of good people still left in the industry and they need to take over.
Whether this happens gradually or there is a massive industry failure and new businesses will be built of the ashes - it doesn’t matter. People will watch movies from time to time and we need good people to be in charge.
Agreed, but let’s don’t confuse honest work and honest employer.
Sound of Freedom is honest work and employer.
Disney can be honest work (employee and even line manager) but evil leadership and 30% of the staff, so not a good employer.
A honest employee may consider leaving if new jobs are created by Angel Studios but that takes time.
Until then (until there is a good alternative for Disney) - leaving would mean that:
honest people would lose their income (not good for us),
Disney would be left with evil people only becoming 100% of the company and there is no good alternative for Disney yet.. The battle needs to go on and it’s on many different levels, the Disney level too.
Disney was just an example to explain my thinking, so apply to the whole industry now.
We don’t know the final solution yet. Maybe an alternatives will be created by honest people, maybe some companies will face bankruptcy, will be taken over by good people and survive.
What we all don’t want is the monopoly of evil companies where the good people make their living, doing their job honestly, while the result of their work (often small bits and pieces where they don’t see the whole picture) is being used by evil ones for nefarious purposes, while these employees have nowhere to go.
I’m afraid this battle will take a long time until the good people will take over the industry, step by step, which can take the next generation who will be aware of what company their small business want to support vs don’t want.
At the very least in the future after pushing all the degenerates out, the based MAGA community will finally take over hollywood
I can assist with this, at least in my capacity to help people get work in my union.
Too bad. Hollywood is nothing more than a propaganda dissemination office run by unashamed communists and pedos. We would be far better off if they had dissolved 20 years ago. Their collapse is necessary in the great awakening, and it’s unavoidable. They would rather go out of business than return to making traditional content that the consumers demand. Their woke movies have been bombing for years, and they still choose to destroy stories like Snow White. Money isn’t their first goal. “Progress” is. If they can’t push the message, they don’t want to push anything.
The country is short of skilled workers in every category. The tradesmen will have no issues finding new work if they are willing. Especially if they are willing to leave socal.
Silencing the largest mouth piece of the globalists is a necessary and inevitable step in the process we are on. Fuck em. They have earned it.
I can’t help but feel like what an ignorant and child-like perspective our movement has of Hollywood. Do you really believe that all production takes place in LA? If so how can you speak with any authority on this? These are all divisive and worn out talking points. I maintain that you all would have different opinions of Hollywood if you were covered under our healthcare. I don’t disagree with getting the filth and corruption out of our industry but I don’t see any pedos or higher ups getting arrested. This entire strike is a psyop to keep inflation down. Connect the dots if you can.
Yes. Most production does take place in LA, unless specifically shifted to Canada or the UK or Atlanta. If they stay within X miles of Hollywood, they don’t have to rent hotels an do a bunch of other shit for the crew. The majority of things you see on TV are written, filmed and edited within a small radius of Hollywood in order to save money. Netflix, Amazon, Disney, and all of the studios have their media centers in Burbank or Hollywood. This is for a reason. So they can do everything within 50 miles and no one has to be paid for hotels and travel.
If anyone is ignorant, it’s you. Research the unions and how typical Hollywood production works and you will see why everything from The Office to Escape from New York was filmed in LA. Even when movies are filmed in the UK, every single other portion of the process done in LA to keep production costs down.
The sooner the entire industry dies the better. And it’s well on its way.
I am an IATSE card carrying member, friend. I can assure you that while what you are saying is true, the idea that it is isolated to one area is false. Hollywood unions have “Locals” which are situated in major cities all over the country. It doesn’t all happen in LA. What you are describing is our contract structure. You are literally describing the “basic agreement”. Any production that films a certain amount of miles away from that Local’s union hall is responsible for hotel costs. They apply it in Georgia, New Mexico, Las Vegas, New York, Chicago, etc. This is a country wide deal friend. So you’re suggesting that Sopranos was shot in LA? I suppose all of the years of work I did in Steiner, Silvercup, Kaufman, York, Gold Coast, Grumman, and Broadway Stages, were all an illusion and I was really in LA when I was working? All my paystubs, that’s all bullshit? Lots of productions moved to New York to take advantage of our outrageous film tax credit: to save money. What are you trying to win here? I don’t disagree that the higher ups are corrupt and something needs to be done.
