I make sure my doors are not accessible to ANY knock n talkers. Perimeter security is a must these days. Basic preparations for crime and tyranny alike.
I have a chain-link fence with 3 trands of barbed wire across top. An automatic drive gate with barbed wire. Then solid steel walk gates that are locked. We back in and close gate before leaving or shutting of vehicle.
Add visible and non-visible security cameras and alarms.
I have no windows on the first floor. Thick steel siding and roofing over 3/4” plywood. Solid iron double entry doors where each door weighs 257 lbs. No little hand-held ram is going to open my doors. All installed with single piece welded steel frames. I know who’s at or been at my gate and always decide whether I am going to engage them.
Fabbed and installed myself. I don’t trust contractors in general. My first floor with no windows is a metal fab shop. I also have a hidden second video system so if they take down and confiscate my “visible” system, there is a second and third tier recorder collecting the video offsite. The key is to spread out and have multiple secure locations for key assets and controls.

Would love to hear what you do about that. Would like to create some perimeter security, myself. Thanks.

Wow. Thanks. Did you do all of this yourself or were you able to find someone to build this stuff for you?
