I mentioned this to several people today, each of which were seeing the same things.
Immediately after 9-11, a LOT of things went into lockdown or high security mode. During the Iraq war, the same things happened.
Government buildings added extra security, placed barricades at parking garages, began checking vehicles or ID's, industrial plants were on high alert, etc... . I know several roads that, if you parked along the shoulder for more than a minute, some law enforcement would stop by to check. I won't go into specifics, but any suspicious activity within certain areas would be immediately acted upon. People, local law enforcement and businesses weren't playing.
Today, with 2 aircraft carrier groups in the Eastern Mediterranean, war between Israel and Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, and who knows how the war may grow... Nothing. Zero. Crickets.
I haven't seen one additional guard at vital public buildings, no new barricades, no new security procedures at hospitals, industrial plants, major office buildings, schools, port facilities, etc.... There has been NO increase in the national security alert level over what it was 6 months ago. No response at all to national security or even local or business security to the possibility of war or the implied threat of domestic terrorism. There isn't even a post-it note on a bulletin board about it.
It seems strange to me that facilities haven't been going into high security mode, despite a potential war and considering threats being made by other nations. Anyone else seeing something different?
Well, judging by the traffic around me is 10 times what it was 20 years ago.
Yeah, if there are less people, they must ALL have gotten cars.
Lockdown traffic was the best part of the covid fiasco. Nobody on the road but so called 'essentials'
Traffic in my area is nearly right back to pre-plandemic levels. I think in my part of the suburbs the amount of people who have already moved out of state have been replaced by the people fleeing Chicago.
I live in kind of a rural area, Do much traffic. All day long, like no one's working? There's help wanted signs everywhere too, is crazy...
Think everyone is hiding and out camping or are they the died unexpectedly crowd? I’ve noticed how not busy the military hospital is where we go. We go often enough to notice fewer patients and staff.
Good points.
The Boomer generation has also been retiring from the workforce and then dying out. Many of them retired early due to the pandemic simply because they didn't want to put up with the mask and vaccine nonsense required at their jobs.
It's the largest generation. They took up a large portion of the workforce. And younger generations just aren't large enough to compensate the loss.
Far more people being proactive about their health instead of blindly trusting hospitals now too
Low birth rates, and of course infertility from the vax and all the GMO crap they feed us.
Buzzbomb
You don't need to hire anyone new, just redeploy and prioritize personnel differently.
