Are we also supposed to believe DF itself has no working protocol against political photo ops?

Their identities are closely guarded secrets, both to protect the missions they partake in and to ensure the safety of their families back home.

So why would these elite members, operating in the shadows, even agree to enter a situation with high profile politicians and cameras?

I was thinking the same. Something doesn't sound right. If I was one of those guys I certainly wouldn't want to be in a room if there were photographers. Even if I thought they were competent enough to block out my face. I wouldn't want them having my picture. And I assume the master chief, or the senior most officer would ensure there were no photos.
