Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.

Need some help with reliable articles from trustworthy sources.
This morning I befriended a local lady on fakebook who was looking for a new pediatrician since her old one just retired. She's been struggling because all the ones she's called only want newborns. I told her that the Dr's get bonuses based on how many injections they pump into the kids they see. They won't make as much money off of kids that don't fill up their quotas quickly or meet the 100% vaccine schedule requirements.
I couldn't stop myself from warning her about the dangerous ingredients (Mercury & Aluminum) in the shots since my wife works with about a dozen kids with debilitating autism. To my surprise she direct messaged me thanking me! She's also concerned since her older boy has autism and her 18 month old is due for more shots.
Thankfully she's NOT going to let her kids get anymore shots (I assume the husband is on board also).
Here's my question:
She's now asking if there are any cures or treatments to reverse the effects of the shots and autism. I believe that I read here about a year or two ago that there are some ways to do this, but I'm not a doctor and don't want to cause her family any harm.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes there are several theories on how to treat and/or vaccine induced autism, but i’m not sure what they are or where to look. ive just seen people chatter about it online sometimes. My personal opinion is that the damage is irreversible, but i hope im wrong. Ill let you know if i find anything. Saving your post
Thank you very much Fren! You were the first person that came to mind hence why I tagged you. I appreciate any help you can provide!
P.S. My wife is an RN and works in the school system. The volume of autistic kids she works with has exploded over the past 20 years. She's pretty awake and is receptive of most medical info I collect from this board.
Hi there fren,
As your wife is an RN. I would say that NAC is known to slowly chelate metals such as mercury , that may have been in some childhood vaccines.
However I don’t know that NAC is appropriate for a child or any less harmful than a vaccine may be. Nor a solid basis to say that it has anything to do with a particular health condition. Look it up or ask her what she thinks as a nurse.
one reason people bring up mercury a lot is due to a perception, whether well founded or not, that mercury or other metals somehow interfere with soul development (typo) and I’m sorry but that’s even a little too conspiratorial for me. I’m not trying to plant this idea or say that mercury or other metals cause autism.
Thanks buddy. I suspected that NAC might be helpful, but I didn't want to assume. I'll do some more homework on that pathway. I'll check with the wife also.
