I'm still waiting on the Cuban Missile Crisis 2.0 that I suspect is going to happen.
We do seem to be in the build up phase of the precipice moment. I would suspect China would make their move on Taiwan within the next week or so...seems that the Taiwan strait is going to be very calm by next week, weather wise.
My personal opinion of course, but things seem to be ramping up daily now.
I was 17 YO (!) when the Missiles of October happened and that was a show of brinksmanship that scared the crap out of me-living close to Offut Air Base made it so real, I thought I had 24 hours to live...
Now, 64 years later, I am not easily impressed with the modern version of brinksmanship as led by sleepy Joe and his SecState Blinken (where's Winken and Nod???) but like the cause du bellum of WW1, minor things get blown out of proportion and voila, we have Multi Bellum...

My thoughts as well - except with Chinese nukes in Cuba this time.
