gave you upvote because i know you're just going on the data you're being shown. Ventusky's data doesn't show this storm ever hitting Cat5 levels. From last night on from what I can see, it's barely a cat2.
True. You have to click on the hurricane tracker option inside Windy. Then you can see all of the numbered and named storms, and then click on them individually to see details.
Now, I am not saying that Otis is real... just that it is, indeed, on Windy.
No, actually it's not. It's just the Hurricane tracking page that shows the various storms in the waters around the world. If you click on the storm button in the left panel (using my laptop, not phone), you focus on that storm. Click on Otis and it will show the Cat # at various stages in its path. It went from a 1 to a 5 overnight (which, again, I am not claiming is true) according to their path. Not gusts. Just Cat #'s.
Hurricane Otis is on Windy. It hit Acapulco as a 5 and is now a 2 inland.
Edit: according to Windy.com
Edit 2: I don't get it... why the downvote with no explanation? Do you know where Acapulco is? Look at Otis and zoom in.

I don't think it even hit C2
Thanks. I was only pointing out that Windy.com was showing Otis. I do not claim to know the truth.
that's not what the map shows, at all..
Dude, what are you looking at? If you go to https://windy.com/-hurricane-tracker/hurricanes/Otis?gust,12.662,-100.854,5 you'll see Otis as a "2" inland of the Acapulco Bay.
It's showing now... wasn't before.
EDIT: OP's link and your link appear to be different... not sure why. Wind gusts vs average wind speed?

Your link is for gusts. The category of a hurricane is based on sustained winds, NOT wind gusts.

This Otis regrets its unable to blow today.
Some idiots just down vote everything - no rhyme or reason why. Ignore them 😊
