This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.

In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
I'm getting so totally and utterly sick of people posting clickbait bullshite from ThePeople'sVoice / NewsPunch / Your News Wire, having it stickied, and then too many of the GAW community by and large just reacting to statements that were never made, stories that are fabricated, and clickbait that pulls their strings, but without ANY level of discernment, or checking, or verification, or research.
For the record.
The fact that so many of otherwise sane pedes react in that way is a major argument WHY these sorts of posts are so destructive. They stab at the very core of the Great Awakening. They assail people's ability to think, apply discernment, check, verify or research.

Haven't been checking theirs sources, but there have been more than normal as far as incorrect topic headers go.
My normal routine is to scroll the page, opening interesting topics in new tabs, then going through them individually when I'm done reading the "new headers".
Usually, I upvote the ones I'm interested in as I go so I don't forget. Quite a few lately I've had to unvote after I read the thread and find some anon has fortunately pointed out the linked piece is completely infactual. Frequent with the recent court filings.
