I’m trying to figure out how Mike Johnson, after 4 different picks for Speaker, came out of nowhere and got picked unanimously for the Speaker nomination by the R’s. Those R’s who we were told were bribed or holding out for Jordan or Scalise or whoever suddenly flip the switch for someone who openly denies the 2020 election AND wants to end Child Trafficking/Mutilation?
What did they get in return for their vote?
Or was it really what Gaetz said that it was Kevin McCarthy sabotaging every vote?
I watch as many hearings as I can. Mike Johnson is one of the best. He’s polite likable and Maga supporter. If watch he’s always to the right of Matt. If you watch the hearings you would know who he is. He didn’t come out of nowhere. I think Trump is in control. I do think it was McCarthy trying to sabotage. I believe Trump picked him.
Heard there was a lot of “other” votes in the conference and when B.Donalds dropped out he said I am endorsing Mike Johnson. That is when McCarthy realized who the “other” votes were for and immediately flipped out having several outbursts knowing the cartel didn’t have time to get their knives out to start stabbing before the vote the next day.
Gaetz said that Mike Johnson called for a rollcall vote instead of the secret-ballot bs, so when they couldn't vote for McCarthy in secret, they voted for Mike Johnson. What he didn't say but it didn't need saying really is that they couldn't publicly go against him because otherwise there would have been a shitstorm among their constituents. Sounds like Mike Johnson knows how the game is played. I have more faith in people when they seek transparency--a rollcall vote, for instance--rather than secrecy. The RINOs love the secrecy and deception; they're comfortable in that swamp. Good to see them being forced into the light--if they want to do dirty deeds, time to stop make it easy for them to use the cover of darkness and secrecy. Make them do that shit in front of everybody.
Well stated fren. Gaetz was giddy recalling the details. A demonstration of how the game is played brought into the open. We must keep that in mind when choosing candidates. Not only must they have the right platform, but they must also be smart and shrewd enough to not get eaten up by the machine's power games. I am gaining more respect for Gaetz every day. He has been willing to take the public lambasting in order to deflect attention from what he and others are really doing. A Master player in his own right. I love watching brilliant strategy shine. I don't know if most can appreciate what just happened here. I can only pray that we can see the same happen with the Senate. But I am satisfied with the move in the House - they control the money.
