Went thru life not having a label. Met my girlfriend who is a special ed teacher and she said to me one evening during dinner that I have traits of autism. Ive never thought of myself as anything but normal but looking back it makes sense. Hasn't changed how I see myself one bit but it probably helps being in a relationship with someone who understands how Autists work.
Labels end up being bullshit; an excuse for some, and an overbearing weight for others. It's best to go through life normally where possible, absolutely.
Though seems like normal is being perverted in today's world, which is sad.

My ex also told me I have autistic tendencies, but it was during an argument - I didn’t take it nearly as the insult she intended it to be.
