Seeking advice - Nurse gave infant adult vaccine.
🧐 Research Wanted 🤔
My wife took our child in for a 1 month appointment. They asked my wife if she wanted to give the child the RSV antinbody shot and she agreed. Later that day the doctor called and said the nurse mistakenly gave a full dose of the adult RSV vaccine. I don't what to do. Im tracking down what brand they gave and what lot number, ill update asap.
Pushers is still properly used. Did you know, every practice out there, doesn't matter their affiliation, every doctor and nurse is incentivized to give vaccines to their patients. They get a kick back for every one, also if they hit a metric like say 80% of children that are patients that got their full course of recommended vaccines, then they get a bonus for that also.
I liken it to a used car salesman that tries to add on rustproofing or a warranty. It's a business decision and not driven by health concerns.
The more you know.......
Seriously I wish I had known all the stuff when my kids were little
