Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
(For the purpose of this argument, I take the definition of Totalitarianism form here, to mean:
totalitarianism, form of government that theoretically permits no individual freedom and that seeks to subordinate all aspects of individual life to the authority of the state.
To fight back again incorrect leftist narratives, I think it important that we understand the following point as stated by Sundance at theconservativetreehouse sixth paragraph here.
I often her it stated, and I have not argue against the statement, that Communism is leftist totalitarianism while Fascism is the right-wing brand of totalitarianism, example here.) But according the Sundance's statement above, this is not true. All form of totalitarianism fall on the left.
But if Sundance is correct that "The furthest right is the absence of government", that would necessarily mean that right-wing ideology when taken to it's extreme merges with Anarchist ideology, that Anarchist are to the right, what totalitarians are to the left.
"Far right" has never been an organic position taken by real people. Far-right is either a smear to make patriots sound bad, or constructs by the alphabet agencies to create the illusion of domestic terrorism.
Of course they are not. They just want to frame things in black and white, because thats how their agendas always work.
This is why I try and engage with people who have fallen for the anarchist narratives as patiently as I can, because as we get to the awakening, the biggest risk for people who have been awake on our side is that they will fall into that pitfall.
There is a reason why the Constitution was created like it did. Declaration of Independence declares the Americans are free people, who require a limited government to manage their affairs. Constitution exactly spells out what can and cannot be done by the government.
Small Government = Least minimum representatives from amongst the people, to carry out the will of the people.
The Majority of folks are not at either extreme, they are mostly in the middle and wish to eliminate all extremes.
