Imagine what all the frequencies flying around will do to a chip embedded in your brain. Also just wait for all the incredible new stories of people having medical episodes from these. What happens if you stand too close to a microwave oven with one of these in your head? What about cat scans and MRIs? Someone is going to get too close to a magnet and have a chunk of their brain rip out of their head. How does an update work? Do you get an interface? So many questions... I wouldn't get anything like this unless I was paralyzed or missing limbs.
Induction can be a bitch when you have fucking wires in your head.
being microchipped also makes getting an MRI basically a death sentence, it would cause the chip to rip around in your brain if there is anything magnetic in its construction
The frequencies are all around us whether we have a receiver or not. EM radiation is enough of a concern that people are still pushing for more studies on the effects of having a phone near your head during sleep.
For microwaves, having a receiver wouldn't change established physics. If the microwave is functioning properly, the waves are contained by design. You would literally be killing yourself with or without the chip if they weren't.
Cat scans and MRIs could be interesting, but it is dependant on certain factors.
Most pieces of construction on a microchip are not magnetic in any way.
Silicon is not magnetic, lead and MOST non-lead soldering are not magnetic, nor are gold, silver or copper without trace metals added to increase magnetism.
Even entire motherboards have no magnetic components except possibly certain i/o casing and screws.
