Whether one agrees with your conclusion or not, the comment itself furthers discussion and raises some points worthy of consideration.

Dang. I hate it when villagers on the board downvote just because something disagrees with their view. The real question should be, does this comment further the discussion? If so, then it deserves an upvote.
