I don't think a satellite can have the power systems onboard to operate a DEW.
Why not? Big ass helium balloons can carry a lot of weight. NASA using huge balloons for satellites is well known. Why else would they be the world's biggest user of helium? https://youtu.be/sPQ-tMoAHkY?si=2GkqzopOVKXloy4A
I'm not saying in theory it cannot be done, but I think current conventional satellites don't have an energy source with enough power, so I don't expect DEWs to be possible from long haul spy / communication satellites. That's all I meant.
and you are 100% correct
Got it, thank you.
The technology we would call "conventional" and that the public is aware of is not the level of tech that the military and governments are using.
These new technologies are typically held back for years, decades, and sometimes never disclosed.
i.e. have you heard of nuclear reactors that run on thorium instead of uranium? They are in use by governments and have been for a while now. Meltdown proof clean energy that can't be used to make bombs. Disclosure would change the world radically including killing the causes of so called "climate change"
Look how many companies in the US are now mining thorium over the last decade.

Former Defense Secretary Mark Esper warns about the tech, minute marker 1:54.
The video was from years ago. Naysayers do not know what they're talking about.
esper is a deep state faggot pedo
