Yeah, it's a weird thing for people to argue about, I've been to churches where entire sermons are preached about it and others that don't believe it, it seems like a thing that if it happens, it happens, but, you know that old Russian proverb. "Pray to God, but keep rowing towards shore."
What I've noticed about sermons, in general, is that the VAST MAJORITY of pastors (no matter what the stripe) rarely ever discuss THE BIBLE in its entirety.
Instead, they take one small snippet, and talk for an hour about their personal experience, or a friend of a friend of a friend who experienced something that somehow is sorta related to that snippet, but without any context whatsoever.
To me, that sort of thing has very little to nothing to do with the Bible and what it teaches.
Okay...but hear me out... They have roughly ONE HOUR to speak... Do you not see a bit of a conflict here? How many seminars have you sat through? Seminars are a bit different than sermons, by design...........

I went to a church (non-denominational but close to Assemblies I think) on Easter one year with a friend. I expected the whole Easter message, but - nothing. Nothing at all about the Resurrection. They did a service no different than any other Sunday. My friend was shocked as well. I was dumbfounded.
You were probably at one of those non-denominational new-age "churches" that may as well be preaching modern Lutheranism, with trannies teaching the childrens' sermon!
