Can't remotely program the machines if the internet isdown!
I really hope it's like blade runner 2049's blackout and everything gets deleted. Everyone instantaneous would wake up to the fact that they wasted half their life making useless, pointless tik toks, being jealous on Facebook and trying to curate the perfect insta reel.
Ham has a bit of a learning curve and there is a registration requirement to do so legally. The catch to registering is that you must allow them to enter your home to inspect your ham gear at any time for any reason. That's a no go. The ham people are a bit nuts and will track and report you for not being registered. For practicality, go gmrs. You can pay $10 for a 5 or ten year "license", or not pay at all and use it wherever you want (as most do). There has never been any enforcement activity on gmrs, the ham guys love to point that out.

Hmmm, what kind of comms can we get rolling before this 10 days no internet thing happens? Will phones work? I gotta go learn about ham radio. Shit.
