City Government is willing to put a knife in their back at every opportunity to score brownie points with their psychotic base.
DA who would sooner put the arresting Officers on trial than the criminals
And frankly I wouldn’t be shocked if the general mood amongst them. Is the General Public in NYC. Doesn’t like or want them there.
Constantly undermanned which results in higher workloads for Officers.
Constant revolving door of often violent offenders released without Bail. Sometimes before the arresting officer even has the paperwork done.
Is it any wonder why they keep leaving in droves?
They are training their replacements . Strong Military age men, they are living in the hotels and will soon hit the streets .
The most corrupt state in the US. Even cops can't fight it. Its up to We the People now.
Why would you stay. Move away and get a nice laterL position in a conservative area. Don't be dumb and go to Seattle
And of course every one of them answered every departure question with "What's that?"
And then filed the Worker's Comp Claim for Hearing Loss Due to Damage on the Job. For 2x pension.
And normally I would hate that shit. But in this case, I want it.
You people understand how pensions work right?
NYC cops get a pension at 20 years.
30 odd years Ago, NYC had 26-27K. Over the next decade they hired more and it peaked at 40,000 cops just over 20 years ago. So you have a lot of cops eligible for their pensions.
We now have about 34K cops.
