Why is this important? Because Mike Johnson is an expert when it comes to using rhetoric against them, and adding poison pills to expose what the establishment really prioritises.

Well, remember they’re playing chess here so let’s not pretend our Speaker is giving away the farm. He stated right in the article OP linked that new funding to Ukraine needs to be tied to securing our own borders. This puts the demonrats into another corner. From the article :

Making deals to help other countries with our money just to secure our own -- still with our own money -- is not a good thing, and this cannot be twisted.
I am tired of seeing additional expenses used on other countries just so they agree to let us use our money on ourselves.
And remember, when he adds funding for border, its not just that he is asking permission to spend money on ourselves, he is asking them to permit throwing a spanner into enemy assets (because open borders are one of the enemy assets). This is a chess for a reason.

I mean I've seen it change the perception of plenty of ppl now that theyve released the footage. im not holding ky breath that hes no longer a lean politician. but tbh I don't mind Mike Johnson getting a fair cut for that act alone. he atleast did us a solid for a small win here. at this point all politicians are on the take so I'll just have to be weary of his decisions going fwd
