Nah, I think they caught it in time. He's presently recovering from surgery.
The bright side is, this is unlikely to be his last bout of illness. He might even catch "the suddenlies."
He may even come out of the "hospital" wearing a boot!
Back in the day when I had my appendix out (third grade), you had to be in the hospital for a week. Now they do drive-by surgery and you're done
