He actually has creeped me out since I was a little kid. Growing up I couldn't articulate why he creeped me out, just that he did, something in his eyes. My parents thought it was so strange lol.
Great point. The bad guys are always so convincing while the good guys are so flat.
I noticed since the late nineties there were more and more movies showing the bad guys in a more favorable light or portraying them as “misunderstood”. Same time it coincided with less use of color in big corporate shops and restaurants. They started using darker colors, think the new mc Donald’s. It’s as if darkness washed over the US for the past 20 years.
I used to really like Tom Hanks. If someone asked me who is the most decent man in Hollywood, I would have said Tom Hanks.
Now I know he is very, very evil.

You have good instincts.
I remember a woman talking about going to school as a kid with Tom Hanks.
When the teacher left the room, Tom Hanks imitated her. She said it was so CREEPY!
I felt the same way about Kevin Spacey
Just look at their bad guy roles-it comes too naturally to be just acting...

Me too.
I saw the movie: American Beauty, and I asked my husband why did they get a homosexual to portray the man infatuated with his daughters girl friend?
