Maybe this holiday season is a good time to have that "special talk" with friends and neighbors.

I believe his message was: when the prophet speaks prophetically, and the spirit confirms, you are duty-bound to follow him. Also, you can trust that God won't allow the prophet to lead the church astray.
Are we even confirmed that he is actually a member? Like, he's not excommunicated? Same for pretty much any member in politics who has obviously been involved with bad stuff.
I find it interesting how it seems like the church is shutting down all sorts of things it used to do, turning it over to the family. The message has been: If you parents are not doing these things at home, we can't do anything about it. Like, people put their faith that the church can fix problems they won't solve for themselves. What happens if the prophet announces that we're just done with the game -- that those who are following the Savior know what to do, and the rest of you all adios, don't bother coming to sacrament meeting as we aren't even doing that anymore or something. Like, from the very beginning we are told that family is #1, the only priority, and church is a vehicle to reclaim families, that's it. What if the church simply stops doing church stuff, and instead only preaches to families?
I've heard so many kooky prophecies throughout the years, I don't know which one is being fulfilled and which one isn't. I can't even read Revelation and make heads or tails of it anymore. I gave up a long time ago trying to map real-world events with prophecy. Besides, if all the news is fake, how are you going to tell what is being fulfilled and what is not?
That day could come. "Folks, that's a wrap. We have nothing more to say. Go home to your families and pray the events pass quickly. Those who have oil, good luck. To the rest, so sorry. See you on the other side."
Yeah, the events leading up to 3rd Nephi 11 are crazy, and parallel so closely with what is going on.
I keep telling people it's time we separate into tribes, for our own protection and benefit, that it's pointless to keep the charade of government going for any longer. Remember why the people just stopped electing chief judges? That's right -- it was all corrupted.
All good points.
Regardong trying to line things up with prophecy in old scripture I learned hard that I just don't have enough information to know specifics. That said, the prophecy in 2nd Esdras has been incredibly accurate in claiming how many short feathers (elected 4 year term) & how many long feathers (elected 8 year term) along with JFK being the middle of it & Roosevelt being elected to 8 [edit: meant 16] & no others would serve that long again. I could certainly be wrong & time will tell soon if I am. What gives me hope is that once this is all done (ie the self destruction of the government as I read it) that a young lion (which I could see the MAGA movement being, or maybe some other individual who is a descendant or Judah, or some other lion representation) is supposed to chase the beast off & restore this land.
It might be some other thing, & I am not tied to this being correct with faith hanging on it. I use these boards & what I have seen with the general MAGA/GAW movement in supporter's fourms [edit: was forms] lining up with this end time prophecy.
That said, I am an odd duck that isn't convinced the Anti-Christ is specifically evil, though they they likely are. As I understand it, in Greek the word for Anti means placeholder, similar to an anti pasta isn't the opposite of pasta, simply a placeholder/replacement.
I know that we will need to be in tune with God, Jesus, & the Holy Ghost in the turbulent times that come. I am hoping I have given my children enough of a firm foundation to keep the faith during the chaos we are told is still yet to come.
When the move away from a scripted/monthly lesson plan for home teaching was announced to become ministering. I didn't see much of a change since I had always done that with the guys I was assigned to. Was taught at a young age by a couple different companions as a deacon & priest that we just go & let the spirit guide us on how best to help & lead our visits.
Also the family focused teaching seemed to be retuning to a more original interpretation of how we were to worship, though I don't know for certain. It just seemed like a move towards restoring correct principles in my own opinion.
I agree we should be building stronger local communities with those around us & there are many 3rd Nephi similarities.
Ultimately I do think we will see many biblical things happen soon.
