Of course the most popular song that relates to this scripture is the children's song This Little Light of Mine...but since there is a picture of a lighthouse I will share one of my favorite songs...The Lighthouse Song by Fortune/Walker/Rogers/Isaacs...
The point of light is that it overcomes the darkness whether it is guiding us or people see the light of Jesus in us...either way the light of the world is Jesus...
I agree but don't see it happening with today's technology. The one in that picture is Cape Lookout in NC they only turn the lights on a few times a year. I think one reason is it's kinda obsolete with digital GPS on boats. The other reason is a push for dark skies so we can see the stars. I wish more places were darker. I'm in the country but due to security lights I can't see as many stars as I did as a kid. Forget about seeing a mediator shower or something. On a different point I was watching a documentary about the NC outer banks lighthouses. Don't remember which one maybe Cape Hatteras. Said the lighthouse didn't prevent shipwrecks or ships running aground because of the way the NC coast is. No wonder it's called the Graveyard of the Atlantic. Our coast is very treacherous even today if you don't know what you are doing.
So my church is turning our third floor into a community center. Still figuring out all the specifics. We are calling it the lighthouse. Super excited cause they are giving me the sound room part to make a podcast studio as well as eventually mold in some of the other ideas im working on here :)
I don't know enough to have a favorite verse, buuuuttttt. This is probably it. 😁🙏
I'd recently been meaning to thank OP again for continuing to post these, and a stickied thread is a good place to do it. These have really helped me out over the months. Thank you, God Bless.
Love the scripture and that's my favorite lighthouse. It's the furthest Eastern point in North Carolina and a lot of history in Carteret County. I'm in the area at least once a month thanks to a friend with a house there.
