I get very annoyed at people who appear physically distressed over a sports loss of their favorite team. In my head I'm thinking... c'mon people! There's a thousands-year-old Cabal trying to eliminate you and all you care about is football??

Absolutely, the NFL is rigged. These guys are paid BIG money not to play the game, but to go along with it and keep their mouth shut. I remember seeing an interview with an NFL player from either the 70s or early 80s that talked about how the outcome of every game was determined the year before, and saying that the season was predetermined, as was the Super Bowl winner. To add to that, I would go out on a limb and say the Super Bowl was created, so people could bet BIG money on the outcome. If you knew the winner and by how much, you could make hundreds of millions (or billions) of dollars overnight. This also goes for the lottery, specially the Power Ball national lottery. Let the lotto get up to a billion dollars, rig the outcome, and you have the only ticket! Ever see one of those billion dollar "winners" every come forward publicly? NOPE! It gets flushed out of the news cycle in 24hrs.
Spot on Bedminster. Every time I hear people talking fervently about "our chances in the next game," or "Yay, we made another touchdown," or "I think we can win this one," I feel like asking them when they joined their team.
It's a mind game to make you feel like this is part of who you are, and you're willing to spend $500 on your favorite players "officially licensed" team jersey that is manufactured for less than $3.00
