I fully expect the supreme court to rule NO on Presidential Immunity against criminal immunity
π€π Theory π²π‘
Think about it - this is one of the few remaining barriers to prosecuting Obama, Biden, et al if they can claim Presidential Immunity while in office.
It must be ruled on against Trump not Obama or Biden for the public to accept it easily.
"It is legally untested whether they also enjoy criminal immunity from arrest or prosecution."

A. Can you give an example? What executive orders have changed your life.
B. Executive Orders don't give the President new powers. They are rooted in US laws.
For example, 13818 is an EO a lot of people know. Right up front it tells you why the President has this power, it cites about 4 or 5 laws
https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2017/12/26/2017-27925/blocking-the-property-of-persons-involved-in-serious-human-rights-abuse-or-corruption
The key law that is cited is this one Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act (Public Law 114β328)
This law was passed in 2016 and required the executive to set up a new sanctions scheme. The executive order didn't come out of nowhere, it's the way the law passed by Congress and signed by the President is going to be implemented.
If you look up the law https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/senate-bill/284/text
The law says a bunch of stuff the president "shall" do like
In legal language shall means you have to do that. So one of the things the President had to do to follow this law is to issues the orders/guidelines etc that says how the law will work.
If the President issues orders/guidelines on how laws will work don't you see how this could change a life?
Off the top of my head I'd say the EO Biden issued suspending new oil/fraking leases when he first got into office.
Or the EO Biden issued removing Trump's price lowering on insulin.
Or how about the EO Biden issued shutting down the Keystone XL pipeline.
Yes an Executive Order can change your life, your future earnings, and yes even your life expectancy in some cases.
Thank you. I don't think they understood what I meant.
Correct. The President is the Executive branch. They don't make laws and they don't interpret them, they enforce them. Executive orders exist to assist Presidents in lawfully enforcing the law. They can lose any and all authority to issue an effective executive order if they can't cite a law written by congress or to protect a right outlined in the Constitution to justify their EO. And their EO's are subject to judicial oversight as well. Should suit be filed with SCOTUS arguing that an EO fails to prove that it has legal backing, SCOTUS can deem it unlawful.
Our founders were brilliant.
Do we have a wall?
Are we being invaded?
Can you afford a box of Corn Flakes?
Are illegals breaking into homes in my State? (yes)
Do you like paying outrageous prices for gasoline, heating fuel, and electric power?
You are telling me why and how a President can wield executive orders. I never said they couldn't, or that it was unconstitutional.
But you could also give me a dissertation on how a King can wield decrees.
I think you know what I'm saying here.
I really have no clue how any of that connects to what we were talking about.
Have you read the "Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism" Act of 2001?
Have you, in your lifetime, seen a war after WWII that was declared by Congress? You know, like Vietnam when our young people were forced into a uniform and sent overseas to fight and die because President LBJ had an agenda?
I'm not going to go on about this. If you really don't get my point, maybe it's because I'm not explaining myself well. On the other hand, maybe you don't want to get my point or something.
