This starts with raising daughters. How many parents teach their daughters to be wives and mothers instead of college graduates and career women?
I agree with that. Also starts with having men willing and able to take care of a wife and children.
Can't have traditional women, without traditional men.
Amen!
Bingo. This is a foreign concept in the modern era.
This is exactly what the Bible promotes for a wife’s role because God knows what is best for families.
Modernity and the feminist movement have completely perverted the mother/wife role and it’s adding to the breakdown in society.
I fully intend to raise my daughter, after she is born, to be a good woman and human being, under God's grace. But you just gave me another goal. Appreciated.
Related pet peeve of mind is employers discriminating on family oriented women because of "gaps in employment". As if it's wrong to take time off for having children, taking care of elderly, etc. So what? It's not like you forgot how to work.
FOR THOSE WHO STILL REMEMBER:
Things are swinging back like the pendulum of a grandfather clock. Trad wives were the norm in the 1950s and early 1960s with lots of TV shows featuring the happy 2-parent family, well-behaved children, conservative, fatherly dad and lovely homemaker moms.
The late 60s brought 'careers as an aspiration for women', 2-income families, baby formula as an option, rising real estate prices, latch-key children, mini skirts, string bikinis, drugs, Hippies, mantras of 'Free Love', 'Love the one you're with', birth control pills, and accepted promiscuity, equal rights for blacks, and the new welfare for single mothers - but only if there was no father in the home.
The 1970s continued with careers for women being the norm, relaxed morals, Roe v. Wade and legal abortions, birth control pills for high school girls, and a ridiculing of the role of the stay at home mother with breastfeeding relegated to the backroom/bathroom as no one wanted to see it.
The 1980s and beyond discouraged one-income households and most couples felt two incomes were needed for normal purchases and to buy a better home to live in.
Things were steady and OK after that until 9/11/2001 and everything went to hell.
I'm happy to swing the pendulum back to a traditional family and a conservative America. I hope we can do it.
Didn’t Rockefeller want women to work to tax 2 incomes? I thought this was a cabal plan not only to destroy the family, community, society but make more money too
I think that is correct. They also wanted the kids to be indoctrinated by the state or the schools and without moms at home, it was much easier.
