No, not joking. Years ago, there was an online test you could take for free. It was quite extensive. If I remember it correctly it went something like this:

• You are shown a mugshot of 6 men's faces staring blankly forward. You are given about a minute to take them in and then they are gone.
• You then are shown a photo of a crowd of people and you have to find if any of them are in it. This was timed.
• You are shown shadowy profiles of various faces and have to find if any of the 6 are in it. Remember, you've not seen profiles of these men, only front-facing.
• You are shown black and white images of a bunch of men who are all bald. None of the original 6 were bald, but can you recognize one or more in this photo with their hair gone?
• They show a picture of a bunch of laughing people. Do you recognize any? Remember, you've not seen the originals smiling before.
• You are shown a black and white photo of people through a rainy window. Do you see any of the 6 men in that crowd?

And it keeps going with the images getting grainier and blurrier as you go. I did really well until the very end. But, I got most of them, meeting the criteria for a 'Super Recognizer'.

I've always had this talent of recognizing faces & voices. I was a hit at my class reunions, and could identify people at Halloween parties in full costume, I'm the first in my family to recognize actors in movies who were masquerading as the opposite sex or as an old person, or a different ethnicity, etc.

There are tests available online right now that I could find easily if you want to try it yourself.
