I think this solves 1 half of the puzzle, and not the half that matters. This will allow the GOP to produce Trump as their candidate. His name, or write-in votes, are not allowed on the CO ballot until a higher court chimes in.
No, the court stayed their own ruling, basically indefinitely.
Page #9
"If review is sought in the Supreme Court before the stay expires on January 4, 2024, then the stay shall remain in place, and the Secretary will continue to be required to include President Trump’s name on the 2024 presidential primary ballot, until the receipt of any order or mandate from the Supreme Court. "
Not indefinitely. "to maintain the status quo," they stayed their ruling until Jan. 4, (the day before the secretary of state's deadline to certify primary ballots for march 5) That means that if the U.S. Supreme Court agrees to hear the case and is still in process by that date, Trump's name should be included on the ballot. If the SCOTUS does not agree to hear the case, then his name won't appear. This forces SCOTUS' hand to pick up the case ASAP.
""IF REVIEW IS SOUGHT....""
""THE STAY SHALL REMAIN IN PLACE""
This is the key part, if it even gets petitioned to SCOTUS, the STAY becomes PERMANENT....
Word Games....
I'm agreeing with you :)
Edit : hit enter too early. IF review is sought (it will be), then he stays on ballot. If SCOTUS overturns he stays, if they do not overturn. welp.. pitchforks?
