The demands/ embargo they put on the Japanese forced them to attack us. I don't blame them one bit.
Although the unchecked atrocities that the Japanese (especially its military) heaped upon the Chinese population in the years leading up the the embargo (especially the Rape of Nanjing of 1937-38) does not earn them much sympathy.
If the Japanese were not so aggressive in their conquest ambitions, maybe the embargo wouldn't happen and people would have a much better opinion of them at the time.
Yes I'm aware of that,but look at the timing, we didn't do anything for 5 years, then put the embargo on after the russians were attacked. We also demanded that they give up their naval fleet to us.
They had no other choice it was war with us or lose everthing.
