The demands/ embargo they put on the Japanese forced them to attack us. I don't blame them one bit.
The commies in the state dept. We're desperate to get us into the war. Once the Japanese attacked us, the russians could move the army they had facing the Japanese back west to save Moscow.
Exactly this. So few people know of the economic hardships the US forced on Japan that contributed.
Pearl Harbor was my very first redpill when I learned all the aircraft carriers were out to sea during the attack, but all the old out-dated battleships were in their berths lined up like sitting ducks.
And contrary to the official narrative, the Japanese navy did not maintain complete radio silence. A few commercial vessel radio operators were able to track the fleet while crossing the Pacific, and reported strange the activity when they ported along the West coast.

Although the unchecked atrocities that the Japanese (especially its military) heaped upon the Chinese population in the years leading up the the embargo (especially the Rape of Nanjing of 1937-38) does not earn them much sympathy.
If the Japanese were not so aggressive in their conquest ambitions, maybe the embargo wouldn't happen and people would have a much better opinion of them at the time.
Yes I'm aware of that, but look at the timing, we didn't do anything for 5 years, then put the embargo on after the russians were attacked. We also demanded that they give up their naval fleet to us.
They had no other choice it was war with us or lose everthing.
They not only let it happen, they made it happen.

Keeled laid on USS Arizona:
"But it was refurnished...."
So too is Old Ironsides.
The Arizona was a deathtrap whose primary mission was to be a tomb for our youngsters so that a world war could be justified.
My great uncle being one of "youngsters".
This is absolutely despicable! 🤬
...and US aircraft parked in the middle of the field to be easy targets for Japanese aircraft. Yes. I watched 'Tora, Tora, Tora!"

As far as I have read, the average citizen wanted nothing to do with WW2 and saw it as another European civil war.
Oh, I never doubted we let Pearl Harbor happen/had a hand in instigating the attack.
This is just the first time I’m seeing some damning redacted proof that we knew it was being planned and the Feds sat back and let it occur.
The US was Japan's primary source of oil before WWII.
