Liberals can’t stand it when they run out of other peoples money.
Someone should introduce Newsom to The Laffer Curve. Given his thick head, though, it will have to be explained in simple one-syllable words.
"Low taxes give the State high revenues."
Reparation payments are in jeopardy.
I don't have a subscription, so I can't read the story. I will say that at the income tax agency's last board meeting on December 6, 2023, the Board was panicking over how to generate more revenue. One of the board members asked how we could get people without social security numbers to start filing tax returns.
At the end of the meeting, members of the public could make requests for changes in income tax policies and procedures. One of the ladies who spoke railed on them for driving businesses out of the state with their unfriendly policies and was emphatic that the lost revenue is not coming back.

they should tax people for being here illegally.
Simple fix. If someone worked on an app that ran in California and was used to buy a product in California; those developers that worked on the app owe a % of their work time and earning to California as income tax.
It is the commie thing to do. “Pay your fair share!” 🤣
You thought you were making a joke, but that is basically how the CA tax agency already works. The CA income tax agency has always been aggressive about taxing businesses outside of California that have any remote connection to CA. In 2021, they expanded their criteria even more to try to collect money from all non-California businesses.
The CA agency does not follow due process laws. They basically say "You are doing business here because we said so" and then they steal the money that is "owed" out of the bank account.
Wow!
My joke was based off a high school friends father. He would sign in at the Union hall in Seattle, then drive down to California and board a cargo ship. He would sign out back in Seattle. I think he had to drive right from the Union hall down. All done to avoid California taxes. Epically since all the work was done at sea.
Yup. Those are exactly the kinds of loopholes that were removed in 2021. California's income tax agency really believe they are entitled to tax everyone. And because they don't follow due process laws, they get away with it.

Thank you!
Good.
It doesn't matter. The Farcical Reserve will just print more money.
