Battery cars are for retards. Everyone knows it's impossible to build a battery that doesn't leak and expand. Heck, you can't leave two double AA's in a remote control without at least one doing so. These cars uses thousands. With water, potholes and salt, there's no way this is sustainable.
I live in Alaska, the town I’m in creates electricity by using natural gas turbines. WHY scrapped the nearly new automobile, why not put in a gasoline power engine. satire*
They did not even inspect the battery before deciding to replace it. IMO, if he agreed to the replacement, they would replace it for $60,000 billed to him and then sell his old battery as “used” for ~$40,000 netting a huge profit and not letting him know or reimburse him. EV’s are a SCAM.
I watched this video yet was stuck scratching my head as to who was left holding the bag? Did the insurance company eat the cost and the gal get a new car or did she get screwed and still has to pay on a car that was scrapped?
Canada is to cold in the winter, for the battery's. When it's very cold the battery's can barely start a regular car.
They're kept heated but it uses energy.

Meanwhile, across the NATO pond, King Charles is sounding Green Build Back Better and Net-Zero messages. I always thought he was an eejit.

Depends on ur coverage. If the owner had skimped and neglected full replacement etc etc coverage then your screwed.
I suspect ICBC will be pivoting to not insure these peices of shit soon enough. For a crown corp they're pretty ruthless when it comes to money.
