The DeBeers cartel has lilely killed many people to maintain their control of the diamond market. Evil people. 25 yeara ago, when two separate entrepreneurs began growing artificial diamonds, they genuinely feared for their lives.

In Africa where diamonds are plentiful & laying on top of the ground - if you touch them armed people appear and discourage that. Also, when you own land there you do not have mineral rights to your land. If you find something on your property it's the government's.
