That was an expensive flyover. So cool.
I was at a Texas Longhorns football game about 10-15 years ago around Veterans Day, sitting in my old season ticket seats with my daughter. The flyover was a B2. Our seats were one down from the top row on the west side, and the plane came in west to east. It was very low and very quiet. Freaked a bunch of the older people out, but the whole 100,000+ seat stadium shook hard.
Those tickets were our daddy/daughter bonding thing, and I mentioned on here earlier this year that she came back this year for a game and brought her soon-to-be fiance so the wife an I could meet him. We sat in our old seats so he could get the same experience she had growing up. Other than being older and the stairs seeming way higher everyone had a great time. No B-2 this time but we did get F-16s, and the pilots both came to the game in the 3rd quarter after landing at the airport. Kinda cool.
I think my favorite flyover of all time (while I had the season tickets for about 10 years) was the B-52 from Barksdale. Love that plane. When I went into the Air Force way back when I tried to become a B-52 tailgunner but ended up in the computer field. Oh well - pays better now.
October 5, 1985 Rice at Texas halftime. Pretty fucking cool.
Rice is a nice stadium! ๐๏ธ JFK made his famous 'Going to the Moon's Speech there! ๐๐
I'm sure it is. But it was at Texas.

Highway to the Danger Zone! ๐ผ๐ถ๐ต
Was actually there at Tulsa airport for an event...hubby jumped out of a C-47 there
Love hearing your happy memories! So special! We are in Texas also and still see the B-52 fly over occasionally from Barksdale! Impressive!
Remember when our favorite president had the blue angels do an extensive flyover? They flew over my house twice. That was the coolest!!
Did the last plane do spirals? It did where we live in Nor Cal.
I donโt think so! That would be awesome. Maybe theyโll tour the country again soon.
WOW!!
Was in Pensacola on Friday November 2, 2018 and saw the Blue Angels performing their Homecoming end of Airshow Season show and the next day on Saturday, POTUS gave a rally! Bazinga! Double play!
Badass if its an air show, bit scary if he is ordered to drop something
Youโd never know it was there if it was sending a payload.
Steathly...cool!
They do this every year. It's a lot cooler when you don't have to work the holiday because of it.
Don't take this the wrong way. I love me some flybys. But if you think the military is or has ever been on "our" side, you need to look around. "Just following orders" works and has been working for some time.
every word you speak is just fear. this is why the doomers are doomed... because you lack faith.
i do not rely on any military for my safety. nor do i pretend it is my own strength that has protected me thus far.
only through the grace of God is our victory guaranteed. giving voice to your twisted fantasies only helps our adversary.
one B2 is no threat to humanity. there are far greater powers protecting us.
True this-they want us afraid
Only ~20 of these remain, cost 10K to 100K per flight
There's still a rose parade?
Lol I'm in suburbs of New Orleans - Mardi Gras is 2/13 this year. I've yet to see a parade anywhere else that is even 1/4 as great as ours ๐ sorry
I lived in Alamogordo, New Mexico, some years back. I used to see them fly overhead from time to time out by the base. Impressive planes......
Saw my first B2 up close (that I could touch!) at PIMA...very cool!
Very cool, indeed!
Hubby and i were awestruck to see it that close up!
Hey fren, knowing how much you like the B2, did you see this?
