What did everyone think of this? I thought it was well done. I did leave feeling that the J6ers were more at fault than I thought they were. It's hard to tell which ones are patriots vs which ones were acting as djt supporters. Sad to see those that lost their lives.
We know there are paid crisis actors & this is psychological warfare. I tend to believe that those instigating & destroying property were part of the paid troublemakers to try & sway others into jump into an emotional fit.
Yeah whether glowbois or useful idiots some of those Proud Boys for example did turn out to deserve at least some of the heat that they received and weren't helping the cause.
At the same time speaking as someone who was there (arriving after Trump's speech) it took discipline to NOT get caught up in some of the trouble. It's easy to say "I would never join in that" when you're not there and surrounded by the collective emotions of the events. There was a guy yelling at us to move closer until I questioned why he doesn't go first. Only later in retrospect I realized he was try to Maidan us.
That's definitely part of what made it hard to tell. I thought that the day just seemed to drag on and on. I keep thinking that I wouldn't have had the patience and would have just left long ago. Well, if I had stayed I sure would have been geared up to confront tell someone off. I can see actual patriots losing it in that situation.
Also, in this video it sure seems like ashli Babbitt actually died. Her body was pretty lifeless.
