UK-based Methodist Church issues guidance discouraging use of terms 'husband' and 'wife' | Church told CP they are 'very proud' of their guidance 'to repent of any hurtful language'

The Methodist Church in Great Britain released an "Inclusive Language Guide" this month advising Methodists to avoid using gendered terms such as "husband" and "wife" because such allegedly assumes what is not "the reality for many people." ...
... The guidance offered as a general principle the idea that there is "infinite variety in the way that God’s creation is expressed in human life," and offered "husband" and "wife" as examples of terminology that "may sound inoffensive but it makes assumptions about a family or personal life that is not the reality for many people."
The guidance offered the words "parent," "partner," "child," and "carer" as suitable alternatives.
Any church that does this is unworthy of the name Christian.
US Catholic, Episcopal, Presbyterian and Methodist churches have already done this. The church is irreparably split. I saw a meme on Uncle Festers Funny Pages that said “ If Paul could see the American church today, we’d be getting a letter!” The epistle to the Americans…
The Episcopalian church is working alongside NGOs to spearhead the mass migration effort.
Their banner for their website shows them directing their efforts toward women wearing hijabs.

All I can think is that perhaps this is the enemy trying to destroy God’s people, while somehow this will instead turn to God’s Word reaching all the nations…
I hope. That or my sin has condemned me and I am being cut off. Or perhaps it has condemned others and I am blessed to remain in the remnant.
We will all see… but I do not appreciate their efforts. Nothing against what you wrote, but consider this a downvote against their actions.
We’re on the same side, fren👍
I’m a foreigner in my own land right now. It’s not fun, and I’m not enthusiastic that they’re helping.
No idea where any of the people I walk through at markets are from, but the answer is not, “here”.
If this was part of a settlement for having unlawfully attacked several countries over the course of the last 70 years, well. We allowed it. Hopefully they’re brought up to speed.
