He was referred to as "qanon" by.. everyone. Even before he entered the mainstream news. Just like "fbianon", "ciaanon" and "stafferanon" (a little hazy on that last one).
If I'm mistaken and you're saying this based on something else, not just how you feel, please share.
You are correct about the anons, but the media does only refer to Q as Qanon as a way to obfuscate. They know the drops are signed “Q” & they know that Q is real.
They've always referred to the account as "QAnon". Are you saying they've always used that term as a way to obfuscate (even though anons were using it before the media), or that they didn't change their term as a way to obfuscate. I find the second option a hard sell.
100% True. In 2018 we rarely referred to "Q" it was always "Qanon". Liz Crokin was selling Qanon merch in 2019. I have a hat. Everyone with YouTube channels/Twitter Accts that talked about the drops referred to Qanon. Then they were all shut down.

The Qanon media directive was referenced by Q in a post. There is Q, and there are anons.
That doesn't make what you said earlier true.
Yes at some point Q decided he didn't want to be referred to as "QAnon" anymore, the media didn't seem to take notice.

I have to be honest, you're splitting fucking hairs.
QAnon media interpretation was mainstream after it was widely known that Q was.... Q.
And yes it continues to this day.
The point remains that the reason it continues to this day is the very reason I posted it.
I’m saying it’s the first option. The media always has denigrated Q as some nutty cult.
