Dunno what you're going on about, vitamin K actually is pretty essential for the body to use calcium properly. I take some extra every day, avoids arterial calcification and along with D3 directs calcium into your bones and teeth.
I forget the exact reasons but it’s not needed and even maybe the wrong kind. I believe it’s for clotting and most babies are fine, they are very delicate for a few months and most extra intervention always comes with risks. When you get a tongue tie cut, they try to require it but some places let you do it anyway. Then they proceed to use a laser and there is no bleeding, it just cauterizes the wound. Likely this kind of requirement came from when they might cut it but clearly not needed now. Mouth cuts also clot really fast
Indeed. We had twins in September. Denied their shots despite their frequent reminders about how your child can spontaneously bleed out without the vitamin k. When it came time to do the blood tests for the state, they poked one of our girls foot at least four times and had two different nurses trying to get enough blood out to fill the spots on the paper. Failed the test because there wasn't enough blood on the sheet!
Yeah we are refusing the antibiotic eye treatment and Hep B vaccine, also not cutting the cord until it's done pulsating. We have decided to get the vitamin K shot though but only because we plan on circumcising right there at the hospital (the circumcision was another tough one to make).
Don't bother with the vitamin k bullshit either. Or the eye ointment whatever it is unless your girl has Syphilis or whatever lol

Yeah he’s not talking about adults taking vitamin K tablets.
He’s talking about the vitamin K shot they give newborns now.

Thankfully we didn’t have to do any of the state tests recently, though we had to do a home birth. That means no poking at all for the baby
