They know it won't work.

What they really want is the majority of humanity dead, and dropping fossil fuels will accomplish that via starvation, and other deadly results, but primarily starvation.

Without fossil fuels nothing is grown, and nothing gets to market.

Yup, the real purpose of force-feeding us EVs, is getting rid of our use of fossil fuels. This will indefinitely decimate the populations.
