American children are being totally dumbed down as well. i was shocked that my friends 12 y/o couldn't read a clock with hands on it. he's like what is that? i said a clock. he's like how do you know the time with it? i said, you're kidding me? he's said no and looked down at the digital clock on the stand and said that's how he tells the time. not even kidding.
The clock in my mom's hospital room I visited this week was a normal analog clock but had training wheels so the nurses didn't have to remember 24 hour or "military" time. It had smaller numbers under the big hour numbers, like a smaller 13 under the bigger 1, or a smaller 23 under the bigger 11. I've been seeing more of these all over when the clocks aren't digital.
